ok, truck is a '05 dodge ctd 2500 with 40k on it
brakes squeak when i first step on the brake lightly, if i brake harder it goes away
pulled the wheels off yesterday to take a look at the pads to see if they needed replacing, but they seem to have lots of meat left

    any ideas?

Ford brakes are terrible about getting wet and squeeking not to sure about Dodge but I could clean the disks and take a strip of sand paper and run over the pad in a criss cross pattern.
