Hi, don't know if this is the right forum to post this on, but anyway. I am going to North Carolina next week to pick up a piece of equipment for my cabinet company. What I need is some good directions, highway conditions road work bad roads etc..and a good place to stay in town cheap!! but not a fleabag motel in a bad neighborhood. Can anybody help??

I use a program called Microsoft Streets and Trips. It allows you to map out your entire route. You can schedule overnights, fuel stops based on MPG and distance, approximate drive times by adjusting your average speed, and you can even find resturants and hotels (though not everyone in town) Idont remember how much it was but you can probably pick it up at any store with computers.

    I highly recomend it.

North Carolina is a big place. You might want to narrow it down a bit.
