I took my wife to the Toyota dealer tonight. We are expecting our third child late this summer, and she wants something bigger than the Exploder. She loves this 07 Toyota Sienna, leather, moon roof, tv for the brats, it must have 25 cup holders, power doors, everything! So we work a deal and come to agreement. Then this salesman, who apparently knows nothing about trucks, tells me I should look into a new Tundra because of the financing they have going right now. I kindly tell him "no thanks, I drive a newer Ford" "OH! but the Tundra will run circles around a Ford" he says. I look at my wife, and she gets that "I'm about to be ambarassed" look on her face. lol So I kindly tell him I drive a 1 ton diesel, I'm not looking for a little truck. Oh the Tundra this, and the Tundra that. I look to my wife and she actually put her head down and covered her face! lmao After a little schooling, and some dumb suggestion of tie'n bumpers, the sales manager comes over and settles sparky down. He then tells him that any newer 1 ton diesel will drag any two new Tundras around the parking lot.
I've had loyal employees, I also own a trucking company in pittsburgh, but loyalty to the point of stupidity is just insane. lol

Ha....rotfl Most dealership salesmen are dumb dumbs.

My favorite was when I had my '01 Ram in for a/c work and was browsing the lot.... salesmen started following me around asking what I owned and what I was interested in. The first thing he said was that the new Common rail motors were much better because they are quieter than my '01. Thats when I informed him I don't own a 3rd gen and am not very interested in one because they don't sound like a real diesel. I like my diesel to sound like a diesel, not a gas engine with some knocks.

He gave me the impression he couldn't hardly believe what I was saying.

He said "Toyota will soon have a Diesel". Big deal, what drive line will they be using? What Diesel? "I don't know, but it will be King of the hill I assure you". lol

The more I think about the immature "My thingy is bigger than your thingy" conversation he was leading, I may go another 5 miles tonight and get that same van from a more mature salesman.

Hey you might want to look into the Seq from Yota built of a Tundra but a fullsize SUV yeah me and my wife have the Tundra verses the Super Duty argument all the time she has one of the very few that I have heard of 3/4 ton Tundras and things her little yota can beat me hauling I told her wheel base and power two things I have her beat on now she can out run me out drive me on a tank of gas but if I was worried about fuel milage I would have looking into an older land cruiser or jeep.
