I have trailer with electric brakes, it has approx. 45k miles on it. I lost the brakes on it the other day. They would come back after a while but would not stay working. We tested each axle and found that one of the axles had continuity(?) on the power side if you grounded it to the frame. I disconnected that axle so I would at least have some brakes for the ride home which was about 2k miles. The other axles worked great until I was about an hour from home and the same thing happened. That axle now has continuity threw the power(blue side) if grounded to the frame. It did not before. The trailer is newer. I took my magnets off to look at them but really don't know what to look for as fair as wear. Wiring harness is sealed and I checked it all the way to the axles with a voltage tester, it is good. Could my magnets be junk, and if they are is there a way to test them. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT! I am supposed to pick up a very important load on Sunday Night. I need brakes though.
