My little 7k trailer is pretty well built, and I've modified for my liking, but I have one remaining problem that I need to address, the wiring is in large part just hanging under there. Last trip to New Mexico I had a fair bit of dirt road to go down and wound up with a wire getting between the axle and frame, then pinched in two. It was the brake wire! And I didn't find out till I was half way back to Phoenix and tried to make an emergency decel for an exit to get my passengers an ice cream. I made the exit, but it was a wake up call. Such is the benefit of having a truck capable of well beyond the load, but I want to fix this problem in general. Thoughts on trailer wiring? I talked to a guy that uses flexible irrigation water hose as a sort of conduit, then ties it into water proof junction and seals it up. Sounds pretty nice, and beats trying to muck with hard conduit. Other ideas?
