Twins are currently a Cummins thing for the most part. BD makes a twin kit and it is supposed to speed turbo lag up and with the addition of a turbo that puts out high boost at low RPM's and another turbo that screams at higher RPMs....you get great boost at almost any RPM, and lots of it.
ATS, Banks, and others are working on DMax kits too as well as larger tubo kits. Apparently biggest problem with duals on the V8s is space. I saw one of the kits and they had both turbos up in "the valley" with a "power bulge" in the hood.
I plan on it someday. It's really the only way to dump fuel in the engine and keep the EGT's down while towing. Running a TST you have keep it at level 3 or below to help with EGT's when towing. I don't see the point in adding power if you can't use it for towing.
Today a friend of my dad's stopped by and happens to have a Dmax GMC. My dad really wants to make the move from the '98 C30 454 to a Dmax, but with a 6 spd( ). His friend popped the hood and I was amazed at how cramped it was in there. We had a hard time finding the stock turbo! rotfl I wasn't used to it since there is so much room under my Dodge hood that I could rent the extra space out as storage.
