I know a lot of you guys aren't into this kind of stuff, but i have always loved racing stripes. I have seen quite a few rigs with vinyl decals added (Trucks episode) and was thinking of a double 9" wide Silver metallic racing strip for my truck. Do any of you have any first hand eperience or comments?

This is the best pic of my truck but you can get the idea of what it might look like with the color it is with the silver stripes. Would be a cheap way to set my rig apart from all the others exactly like it in the area??

Go for it, the beauty of vinyl is you can always rip it off if you don't like it. :D Put them on on a warm day, mock them into place with masking tape then float them on with LOTS of soapy water and a squeegee.

Yeah and later on down the road when you decide to remove them the paint under the stripe will be alot darker than the rest so you will always have ralley stripes rotfl .

Paint on newer vehicles really shouldn't fade too much, especially if you take care of it...

    Where to get the stripes?

I am in the process of painting mine,... 1976 Chevy Truck Orange(don't know the color code) and have been wanting to run white vinyl stripes all the way front to back and a custom one down the sides .I just don't know where to get them, or if they are made ready to apply on my truck :dunno:.Any suggestions?
