I'm just picking up my '99 F250, auto, lariat, etc. etc. etc. PDQ today. Kinda psyched. Moving from a '89 Sub V2500 (that's for sale if you...
Sorry to dig up something this old (OK, I'm not really), but any thoughts on this hitch?...
It gets worse when I tow and I can't even get out of my own way. (350 gasser)
I get about 10-12 around town and 14 on the open highway with no trailer if I keep the RPM below 2500.
On. that note, you putting the K5 skins on it?
I don't have that truck so I'm not familiar with the powerband of the engine. I think a 4.10 would probably be perfect for what you're talking...
   You wouldn't be interested in my '89 V2500 with 350 would you?
Nice! Too close to a luxury car for my tastes, though. What happened to trucks being simple, functional and reliable without all the fu-fu?...

We've got two local places that are awesome (if you're ever in Salt Lake for whatever reason). Wasatch and 'The Pie'..................
I'd be pretty interested in it if you know anyone coming to UT.....(UROC or something?)
I think that was my first post........ waytogo (for now, I still tow with an old school, '89 Sub......)
It seems (from memory, so I'm sure I'm wrong--I don't know anybody with a 12 valve at the moment) that the engine 'hits' about 1400 rpm and pulls...
Huh? The CTD pulls HARD from idle to shift point......... The V8 seems to take a little longer to get going, but nothing like the F*rd....
Depends on where you're towing, IMHO. If you're in a 'mountain' state and don't mind going slow up the hills, you'll be OK with a 350. If you...
You're right.....it'd be 180* off by how I described it.
With the engine at TDC (#1 cylinder as high as it will go after the exhaust valve closes) set your rotor to #1 on the distributor. Should fire...
